Who We Are & What Drives Us

We're not your typical architecture studio - and honestly, that's how we like it. Every building tells a story, and we're here to make sure yours is worth telling.

Our Studio

Our Philosophy? Keep It Real.

Look, we've been doing this for over a decade now, and here's what we've learned - great architecture isn't about following trends or impressing other architects. It's about creating spaces that actually work for the people who'll be living and working in them.

Sure, we love contemporary design and pushing boundaries, but not at the expense of functionality. We've seen too many "award-winning" buildings that look amazing in photos but are a nightmare to actually use. That's not our style.

Every project starts with listening - really listening - to what you need. Then we bring our expertise to figure out how to deliver that in a way that's both beautiful and practical. Plus, we're big on sustainability because, let's face it, we've only got one planet.

Our Journey So Far

From sketching on napkins to building landmarks

2012

The Beginning

Started in a shared office space with three architects, a coffee machine that barely worked, and big dreams. Our first project? A residential renovation that taught us more about problem-solving than any textbook ever did.

2015

Finding Our Voice

Won our first major commercial project - a mixed-use development in downtown Toronto. This was the turning point where we really figured out our design philosophy. Also upgraded the coffee machine.

2018

Expanding Horizons

Moved into our current Queen Street West studio and brought heritage restoration into our service lineup. Turns out, old buildings have stories worth preserving - and we got really good at telling them in modern ways.

2021

Going Green

Made sustainability a core part of every project we touch. Not because it's trendy, but because we've got kids and we'd like them to have a decent planet to grow up on. Started integrating advanced 3D modeling to minimize waste during construction too.

2024

Today & Tomorrow

Twenty-plus completed projects, a team we're genuinely proud of, and a reputation for buildings that people actually love using. We're still learning, still growing, and honestly? Still excited about every new challenge that comes through our door.

Meet The Team

The people actually doing the work

Sarah Chen

Sarah Chen

Principal Architect & Co-Founder

Sarah's the one who makes sure we don't get too carried away with "cool ideas" that aren't practical. With 15 years under her belt, she's got this uncanny ability to spot problems before they happen. Started her career in Vancouver before moving to Toronto and co-founding our studio. When she's not designing, she's probably hiking or complaining about Toronto traffic.

Marcus Okonkwo

Marcus Okonkwo

Lead Designer & Co-Founder

Marcus brings the creative energy - sometimes too much of it, if we're being honest. He's the guy who'll suggest something completely wild, and then somehow make it work within budget and building codes. Studied at Waterloo, worked in London for a bit, then came back to Toronto to start this whole adventure. His designs have won awards, but he's more proud of the thank-you cards from clients.

Jennifer Liu

Jennifer Liu

Senior Project Manager

If Sarah and Marcus are the creative minds, Jen's the one who makes sure stuff actually gets built. She's a wizard with schedules, budgets, and dealing with contractors who promise the moon. Came from a construction background, so she knows every trick in the book - and won't let anyone pull a fast one. Her spreadsheets are things of beauty, apparently.

David Park
David Park

Interior Design Lead

Makes sure the inside looks as good as the outside. Obsessed with lighting - like, really obsessed.

Aisha Rahman
Aisha Rahman

3D Visualization Specialist

Turns our sketches into photorealistic renders. Her work's so good, clients sometimes think we've already built the thing.

Thomas Wright
Thomas Wright

Sustainability Consultant

Our green building guru. Knows every energy-efficient trick and sustainable material out there.

Elena Rossi
Elena Rossi

Heritage Restoration Expert

Specializes in breathing new life into old buildings. Has an MA in architectural conservation and zero patience for tacky renovations.
